With Skyward and the features in Skyward there is a chance for us to have a parent conference day every day. And zip me an email about something specific.

Every day's report card day it's not just four times of the year but if a teacher vows to keep Skyward gradebook up-to-date that information then becomes reliable and accurate and allows for parents to tap into that.

I found that when I work that little bit extra to get my grade book up to date before I leave it at the end of my teaching day I have less questions answer from parents who are wondering about what's going on in my classroom.

The information in the time and the effort creates an efficiency that more than offsets the expectation.

The message center has been really helpful to me as I regularly send out an email message to all my parents. It's efficient I try to be concise it provides a foundation for a conversation that I hope the child and the parent have about what we're doing an English class.

In the calendar view parents have the opportunity, and students too, to be proactive. Because they can see at a glance on the calendar which assignments are coming up. Consequently those assignments become less likely to be missing.

Looking back you know they can see their successes. They can see areas where where they've struggled or even missing assignments on that calendar view.

We can use the data the information that's conveyed through Skyward to enhance and encourage students.
