School health services are in demand, and office visits are on the rise. When you've got students waiting, you need to keep things simple.

Here's how you can document health office visits in Skyward.

Office Visits can be found in Student Management under Office, Health Records.

Let's check in our first student. Enter his or her Student ID, Key, or Pin. Select the reason for the office visit and click Done.

Now, in the Office Visits Quick Entry screen, you should see this patient in the Waiting Queue. Click Admit to add him or her to the Office Queue.

Most basic information automatically populates right below the Office Queue, saving valuable time. Click Edit to make changes or add details, like family members notified, treatments administered, and dispositions.

You can keep your records as minimal or detailed as they need to be.

Click Save, and at the end of the visit, the student can return to the Waiting Queue or be released to class.

To keep even more detailed Health Office Visit records, go to Office, Entry by Student, expand the student's information, find Office Visit, and click Add Office Visit.

Here you can record more Office Visit details, add Vital Signs, record Assessment Details, and review or administer scheduled or as-needed medications.

You play a critical role in keeping kids healthy, happy, and ready to learn.

Work smarter with Skyward's Health Records tools.

Stay tuned for the next Quick Hits for Nurses, coming soon.
