CESA 10 Finds Clearer Workflows and Greater Visibility with new ERP Provider

When Ashley Hebert joined CESA 10 as finance director in 2020, discussions were already underway about moving from a third-party system to Skyward Qmlativ ERP. As leadership weighed the decision, Hebert saw an opportunity to simplify operations and create greater consistency across the organization.

"I pushed for it, because I didn't want to have to learn two systems," Hebert said.

That decision led CESA 10 to implement Qmlativ ERP in 2021, giving staff a more transparent and connected way to manage their work.

Bringing Operations into Focus

Since implementation, CESA 10 has had little need for additional support. On the occasions when questions have come up, the Skyward team has delivered helpful assistance.

"We've had minimal help tickets, but every experience has been helpful," Hebert said.

That support helped staff become comfortable with the new system and establish processes that continue to serve the organization today.

With a successful implementation and reliable support, staff were able to quickly become comfortable with the system and focus on making the most of its capabilities.

Removing blind spots

For CESA 10, the biggest benefit of Qmlativ ERP has been the visibility it brings to everyday business operations.

By moving away from paper-based workflows, staff can now easily track the status of requests, approvals, and other operational tasks. Instead of wondering where something is in the process, they have the transparency they need to inform their next step.

"Now, we can see where things are sitting and who needs to be pushed to move items along the line," Hebert said.

That level of visibility helps eliminate the uncertainty that can come with manual processes. Instead of tracking down paperwork or guessing where a request stands, employees have a clearer picture of what's happening and what needs attention. The result is a more efficient workflow and better oversight across the organization.

Sharpening the focus

Although CESA 10 has no major changes planned, the team continues to look for opportunities to refine and improve its processes.

"We're always thinking of tweaking things, but we have nothing major in the works," explained Hebert.

The team also recognizes there is more functionality within Qmlativ to discover and leverage as their needs evolve.

"We haven't fully explored the options available in Qmlativ yet," said Hebert.

As CESA 10 staff continue to gain experience with the platform, they look forward to exploring additional ways to support their work.

A bright outlook

"Just go with it! It'll be good, I promise!"

After several years with Qmlativ ERP, she remains confident that the transition was the right choice.

"Overall, we are very happy and glad that we switched to Skyward."
