Q:

What challenges did you face with your previous software before implementing Qmlativ ERP?

A:

We struggled with limitations with our previous software. Our district was looking for work efficiencies, and we did not have that with our previous provider. We had created workarounds for many processes, and over the years, those became harder and harder to overcome.

Election & implementation

Q:

What did your district look at while searching for a new ERP system in terms of features and functionality?

A:

We looked for efficiency. Our staff is extremely busy and we wanted to find a way to lessen their burden and move forward easily. We also wanted an ERP system that had all of the components we needed in one place, rather than having to buy additional third-party software systems to help complete all that we needed to get done. Qmlativ provided just that.

Q:

How does implementing Skyward fit into your district’s long-term strategic plan(s)?

A:

We are looking for cost effective ways of doing business and for ways to be more efficient — Skyward provides both.

Q:

What did your support experience look like with the Skyward team when implementing Qmlativ?

A:

The project manager, implementation specialist, and everyone involved were amazing. For example, on our go-live day, I put in a help ticket, not knowing what to expect for a response time. To my surprise, I heard back with helpful information right away. It was a breath of fresh air!

Fan favorite

Q:

What have been some of the greatest benefits of Qmlativ?

A:

Importing data into payroll has shaved two days off the payroll process. Everyone is getting better and better with Skyward and is seeing the benefits quickly.

What's next?

Q:

What are your district’s goals for using Qmlativ in the future?

A:

We are looking to switch to Skyward Time Tracking, Time Off, and Applicant Tracking. These moves will help solidify integration across multiple areas and help everyone become more efficient.

Q:

What advice would you give to districts considering a move to Skyward?

A:

I would give the following tips:

  • Plan.
  • Stay organized.
  • Get everyone moving in the same direction.
  • Be encouraging
  • Realize that progress can be made one baby step at a time.
  • Be flexible.
