STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Feb. 24, 2015) – Two Kansas school districts, Louisburg Unified School District (USD) 416 and Kingman-Norwich Unified School District 331, have selected the Skyward School Management System to streamline student information and business operations. The districts aim to unify operations and improve scheduling assignments for teachers and students with the support of the acclaimed management solution.

Louisburg USD 416 operates five schools with more than 1,600 students and 200 employees. Before transitioning to Skyward, the district encountered inefficiencies caused by multiple disconnected systems. With student data demands increasing in Kansas, the district was required to enter the same information in multiple systems, resulting in data duplication and potential inaccuracies. Going live with Skyward in April 2015, Louisburg USD 416 will be able to connect processes – making procedures streamlined and less cumbersome.

“Skyward’s integrated system will make our district’s business and student information interface more efficient and accurate,” said Dr. Pam Best, assistant superintendent of administrative services at Louisburg USD 416. “Skyward allows us to work smarter using state-of-the-art software and processes that have impressive track records with many districts for many years.”

Kingman-Norwich USD 331 is a smaller district with about 1,000 students and 140 employees. Before implementing Skyward, Kingman-Norwich USD 331 used separate systems for student information and business operations. Hoping to bring the two systems together, the district turned to Skyward for a modern approach. The district looks forward to using many features within its new software, especially the student-scheduling feature, which will result in fewer last-minute course changes.

“Skyward will help us visualize multiple course openings so we can build a more efficient schedule,” said Max Clark, assistant superintendent at Kingman-Norwich USD 331. “We are always looking to enhance opportunities for students while maximizing the personnel we have for classes. Skyward will tremendously help us in doing so.”
