STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Sept. 10, 2015) - Skyward, Inc. an industry-leading K-12 school administrative software provider, is pleased to announce the Skyward scholarship recipients from Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UW-Stevens Point) for the 2015-16 academic year.

MSTC award recipients include Rudolph Dlobik IV, Alan Leonhardt, Derek Matuszewski and Lyle Spindler. All four students are enrolled in the IT Network Specialist program at the Stevens Point Campus. Since 2002, Skyward has provided assistance to students enrolled in the information technology programs at MSTC, with 35 scholarships awarded during this period. Each winner received his scholarship during the MSTC Scholarship Awards Reception held on Sept. 3 at the MSTC Wisconsin Rapids Campus.

"The MSTC Foundation appreciates the continued partnership with Skyward and its employees, and we recognize the support they have provided to help MSTC students achieve their dreams,” said MSTC Foundation & Alumni Director, Jill Steckbauer. “I am honored to have the opportunity to witness the impact scholarships have on students. The support from individuals and businesses such as Skyward creates hope and provides reassurance that others believe in them, which is a key factor that pushes students to complete their degree."

Five UW-Stevens Point students received scholarships from the Stevens Point-based software provider. Seniors Brian Hall and Mark Mutza were named Skyward scholarship recipients, along with sophomores Nicholas Kubley and Ryan Milanowski, and incoming first-year student James Watry. Announced as scholarship candidates in April, all five UW-Stevens Point recipients are seeking a degree in computer information systems.

In the past six years, Skyward and its employees have generously provided scholarships to 32 students in UW-Stevens Point’s Department of Computing and New Media Technologies,” said Tim Krause, department chair at UW-Stevens Point. “These scholarships play an important role in helping some of our strongest students graduate in a timely, cost-effective manner. We are fortunate to have Skyward as a partner."

Skyward academic scholarships are based on employee donations and company-matched contributions. For more than 30 years, Skyward has provided industry-leading school administrative software that empowers educators to effectively integrate, manage and analyze all critical education data, including student information, academic performance, finance and human resources.
