During the RFP process, my thought of Skyward was “Wow!” Now, several years after the RFP, I am only more enthusiastic and approving of Skyward. Creating financial, budget and activity reports in Skyward is easy, quick, and user-friendly – no programmers needed for nearly all my reporting needs. Since Skyward focuses on K-12, they already know all aspects of our environment unlike other financial products that focus on other types of entities or niches. To have a teammate that both makes my job easier (financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing) and that understands my colleagues jobs/needs is wonderful.

As these users get more familiar with Skyward, they are amazed at the capabilities the software provides. Parents and district employees alike are finding they are able to easily keep track imperative information such as grades, discipline and attendance coding.

Skyward helps our district by integrating the payroll and human resources function. Before we had Skyward, these were two separated and autonomous units. With Skyward, they are combined for the greater good.

Our district has saved a considerable amount of time and money using Skyward for student registration. In the past, we would send all of the forms we used home to each student. Creating a packet included: printing forms, stuffing large envelopes, and finally the postage which would cost anywhere from $3.50-$7.50 per student, depending on the building. Since we started using custom forms, which we saw at iCon two years ago, each building sends a 1-2 page packet in a standard envelope. Skyward has saved us time and money and the continual improvements are great. Thank you, Skyward.

I can say that I have met and talked to the highest levels of leadership at Skyward. Most of the companies that we have bought products from will never give us this kind of an opportunity.
Skyward software has made my life easier, especially when it comes to PEIMS reporting. With Skyward, the PEIMS reports are easier to read and the accuracy is better. I really like all the reporting options within the software.

Skyward's Student Information System has been a great tool for Temple Independent School District. Skyward's software is stable, yet flexible. The biggest challenge with Skyward's SIS is fully utilizing it - there are so many features! Skyward's attention to customer needs and state requirements is top-notch. Processing free and reduced meal applications using Skyward is so much better than when they were processed manually. The direct certification process is quick and easy to run. We feel we are doing a much better job of making sure the students eligible are receiving the benefits.

With Skyward, our district saves time and money by being user friendly. I am able to data mine for information that I can then download into Excel for use with other applications. I am able to make field trip check off/money collection forms for my teachers. The form really assists them when preparing for field trips and saves them valuable class time. I also really like the student locator function within Skyward. It is very handy when you need to find a student quickly.

Skyward has been a huge improvement for our school district. One of the major complaints/concerns of both our teaching staff and parents in the past has been the ability to communicate student involvement within the class. Now, with the aid of Skyward, those concerned have been resolved and a new positive relationship has been established. I like the data mining option in open records request because it gives me all the information I need in a snap. Also Skyward has helped me with the salary surveys and stipend surveys.
Preparing for PEIMS with Skyward has simplified the data editing process. The coding of special populations is easier and having the capability to track at risk indicators is awesome.

Skyward has fantastic, patient, helpful and knowledgeable programming and tech support staff, including a dedicated group who work specifically with the state department to make sure their program is always up-to-date and meets the state's requirements. When we seek support, we always receive a response within 24 hours with the response being within a couple of hours or less.

RTI module a life saver

The RTI module has been a life saver for our district. Prior to this module,
our RTI teams at each school spent many hours and weeks going over several reports trying to determine who should have interventions. The functionality of the RTI module allows us to assess those students in a matter of minutes. We no longer have to worry about having a student fall through the cracks; what a reassurance that has been!

For my district, Skyward is vital in maintaining student records, parent communication and organization. It also saves time and money. As the person charged with creating the master schedule for 1,400 students, Skyward is invaluable. I don't know how I'd do it as efficiently or effectively without Skyward.

We were ready to virtualize our file servers, and were unsure where to begin. The Skyward IT Services staff helped us to install the hardware and the VMware, and successfully migrated our Groupwise email system to our virtual servers. They even provided us training on how to run the VMware system. Since then, the IT Services staff have been a great resource as we continue to virtualize our servers.

We have been using Fee Management for tracking charges and payments in our Community Education Childcare Centers for several years now. The program works very well, is easy to use after some basic training and provides our department with a valuable tool. We use Crystal Reports to generate weekly reports for payments, weekly attendance and sign-in/sign-out sheets. At the end of the calendar year, we are able to generate tax statements for parents in minutes.

Skyward helps our students and district by being able to chart student visits to the health room, including symptoms that bring them in, interventions, and result/disposition. As the district nurse, I appreciate the ease the health room assistants have completing office visits and my ability to run reports (per student, reason, attendance, etc.). Tracking illness and helping parents understand their child's frequent complaints often helps guide parents, staff, and the student towards positive outcomes. Without these reports, students could miss valuable class time for preventable and/or manageable reasons.

Skyward is very user friendly. We have been able to move some of the responsibility from our control office to the sites. Staff love understanding what goes on with various transactions and don't find the processes to be overwhelming or intimidating. It has also been wonderful for the central office, now sites are familiar with their staff and students and the work load is more distributed.

Skyward is wonderful and simple to use for our school district. The set up is geared directly towards schools. The training is wonderful, Skyward employees are patient.
Skyward software is intuitive and very easy to use. It provides up to date balances and pie charts to show portion of funds remaining.

As the assistant superintendent of finance and operations for Hutto ISD, I have been using many facets of Skyward finance. This software product not only allows me to ready my financial statements yearly for the external auditors, but allows me to monitor and oversee my budget with ease. The human resources modules of Employee Management allows me to accurately plan for and estimate the district's payroll budget. Overall this is a far superior software product to what I used in a prior district.

All of my son's middle school teachers have been regularly using Skyward. From posting homework assignment deadlines and posting grades on quizzes/tests, to leaving additional information/support regarding the classes, this has been HUGELY helpful as a parent this year. Having access to a web application is an incredible tool for parents to have, and I appreciate it every night while looking over my son's agenda and working on his homework and studying this year!

I'm always completely and totally up-to-date on important aspects in my son's school: attendance, current lunch balances, and potential district wide alerts, such as: when inclement weather conditions and delays occur, when an unfortunate instance happened with an attempted luring of a student that was reported within our district, and also when a power outage happened. No matter where I am, both at home and at work, I am fully aware of what's going on and can have full confidence in the safety of my son, thanks greatly to this program and its applications utilized by our district!

I am the only secretary at one of the elementary schools. I use Skyward student and finance throughout the day, starting with TrueTime to sign in, daily attendance for students, health for vaccine entry and health office visits, purchase orders, reports, scheduling, etc. Skyward is very user friendly and easy to navigate within.

We have been using Skyward Financial since July 2008. Since the implementation we have been gradually bringing on more inter-connected modules (HR to Payroll Imports, to third party sub caller program and on-line requisitions originating at the staff member level, check reconciliations) and have found that this has given us more efficiencies and effectiveness in processing the transactions. It has also helped in developing the segregation of duties required for internal controls.

Skyward support has been a very valuable partner in a very hectic time. I have spent the last few months 'relearning' portions of Skyward I hadn't used in a long time. Their support staff has been incredibly patient (even if I wasn't). They did not assume I knew the software just because I had been a Skyward user for several years. They gave complete information and linked into my workstation when needed.

I appreciate everything that Skyward does to keep us efficient and up-to-date with technology. We especially love TrueTime, e-Commerce, and Employee Access for our staff. With Skyward we are moving closer to a paperless environment everyday.

We spent nearly two years in the process of selecting a new student management system and financial management software. We approached our search with an emphasis on selecting a vendor that could provide an integrated software package with support and training that would meet our local, state and national reporting needs. We also were looking for a system that was user friendly for our patrons. Skyward representatives were interviewed several times, providing us with demonstrations of the power of the software. Our expectations were high. Skyward was our choice and our expectations have been met!

Family and Student Access help parents and students track grades, test scores, fee management, lunch accounts, complete online course requests for high school and now our students are using Online Assignments for tests and assessments. The auto score and post feature reduces teacher errors and decreases the time between when students take a test and when the grade is entered. Online Assignments use has also reduced the need for scan sheets for assignments and is saving the district paper and printing costs.

I started working with IT Services this summer on our VMware conversion. The project went as smoothly as I could have expected with basically no downtime. With Skyward, our district saves time and money by eliminating duplicate registration of students and families for children in multiple schools within our district. We can make updates to the family at any of our buildings. The time saved is tremendous at the start of each school year when we can print off each child's registration information and hand it to the parent/guardian to update only those things that need to be updated.

The administrators and secretaries like the ease of entering and maneuvering around the student database. I now only work in the web and I have to admit, I like it more and more every day. It is great to be able to work from home or be somewhere other than work, and be able to work in Skyward if the need arises. It also seems to offer other options that we weren't able to do in PaC. I believe Skyward is always trying to make changes/improvements to the web product and it is a great tool to use for our student software.
I like the approval process of Skyward, because it’s been very easy to train on and be trained.

We have used Skyward for approximately nine years and we started with PaC. When Skyward first started talking about switching to the web, I hated it and was very reluctant to use it even though I am normally open to change. When they first started introducing the web product, it was very hard to work with and nothing like PaC. But, I must say, Skyward listened to the users and made great improvements to the product and made it seem more like PaC and much more user friendly. I now only work in the web and I have to admit, I like it more and more every day.

I love Family Access and all the information available to parents regarding their child(ren). As a grandmother, I am able to check on my grandchildren's grades, etc. even though they live in another state. They do better because they know I am watching!

The Skyward features that are offered are very beneficial to the secretaries as all student information is at your fingertips. My transition to the Skyward Web student product was a lot easier that I thought it would be, and I now LOVE it and don’t even open the PaC side anymore. The tutorials are wonderful, and I love that I am able to customize some of the screens. There are so many nice additions to the Web that make the whole Skyward experience more user-friendly.

We implemented Skyward and I have seen productivity increase in all areas. Our elementary buildings were new to any kind of system but principals, secretaries and teachers easily adapted. It is our first year, but I am sold on Skyward. Our teachers love the ease of use and the capabilities of the system. Our administration is also pleased as they are able to easily track grades and discipline. I can't wait to continue to explore all the potential that Skyward brings to the table. I can't imagine not working with Skyward. We have moved from outsourcing our payroll to in-house payroll within the past year and a half with the help of Skyward. Needless to say I was very apprehensive of switching my payroll system, but it is great! I really enjoy working with the Skyward program very much. It really cuts down on extra work I had to do with outsourcing.

After having a program that didn't work, we went looking for a new software company. Although we signed late with Skyward the conversion went perfectly. We had a program manager who called every week and had excellent training for our staff. Skyward not only works as advertised, but customer service is excellent. Prior to our conversion to Skyward software five years ago, we had a student management software that was unreliable and wouldn't do what the district needed it to do without jumping through multiple hoops. Skyward functions the way that I expect it to function, is reliable, and allows me to get done what I need to do in less time. Skyward is basically a dream come true. I've been with the district for 18 years. I work in the Special Education Department. We converted to Skyward in April 2010. The sales team and conversion team were wonderful. Our district had gone through two finance software conversions in the previous three years. I had heard horror stories on how bad conversions were, but with Skyward, the conversion was very smooth. They were very thorough in the conversion process and made it as easy as possible.
There is no doubt in my mind that we made the right decision in choosing Skyward
I like Skyward because it is very user friendly, trustworthy, easy to learn and provides great training materials and support. Our campus personnel caught on to Skyward quickly. Even our school board members have heard from campus personnel on how much they like Skyward. I never hear complaints regarding the software and in the education world, that speaks volume.

Moving to the Web version of Skyward has provided us with the flexibility and 'anytime access' to the data. We have had many cases where staff needs information for a student, perhaps for an off-site 504 meeting and they were able to retrieve it easily from any Internet connection
The ability to access the data at will, without having to be connected to the machine that has the program installed has been liberating and has allowed increased productivity while decreasing the hands-on time that our IT Department would have to spend with each PC that needed the software installed or updated.
Skyward is the most flexible SIS we have come across.

It is nice to see that Skyward realized that trend in the beginning and has moved to replace the PaC system with an easier-to-modify central installation solution that surpasses any Student Information System out there today.

I have been the high school secretary at Pittsville for 25 years. I have worked with several different student software products in my 25 years. Skyward, by far, is the easiest, most efficient student software I have used. While working with the software I am able to access information easily, update quickly, and troubleshoot myself. I love the versatility and that students and parents are able to access information easily. Skyward is definitely the best software I have used.

In trying to upload the new CWCS files for the state, we ran into a few glitches, which of course were caused by things we had done! I submitted a service call and within hours the customer service team got back to me with specific tutorials and tips to try. Once those were complete and I still was getting errors, we received a phone call and an ilinc meeting to solve the issue. Jacob walked me through every step until we were error free; even going as far as to call me on his cell phone when there was a problem with the phones at the Skyward offices. Amazing service as always!

I have been a user of the Skyward program since 1992 in two different schools and have had great success with it over the years. When the company announced the implementation of the web-based product a couple of years ago, I was unconcerned as I have never had any problem with the program.

March of 2011 was the first I-Con I attended and it surely won't be the last. Twelve sessions in three days. A great keynote address. A chance to meet and discuss with the Skyward experts. The opportunity to compare notes with school districts from around the country. And to top it off, a great reception from ISCorp. As the saying goes "Priceless."

While Skyward includes phenomenal pieces to its Student Management offering, what I am impressed with most are the Educator Access and Family Access components. The Educator Access piece provides an abundant amount of information for our teachers. The recent addition of online assignments provides invaluable feedback for teachers so that they can adjust their instruction to meet the needs of their students.

District to Distrct is an absolutely wonderful tool and time saver for transferring vaccination information, and is also helpful for transcript information when identifying state course code and content information attached to course titles that very from district to district.

I used D2D and liked it. It saved time for myself and will save time for the nurse’s room as they do not have to hand enter in those immunizations anymore. It put in the basic info that I needed and saved me lots of time!

As a non-high-school district, we used district to district transfer when moving our 8th grade students to 9th grade. Shelton SD staff did not have to enter in 85 new students' names, parents or home information. This feature reduces errors, increases secretary time and is a cost saving tool for both districts involved.

I have been associated with Skyward for about 15 years. The school administration program has been phenomenal. It's easy to learn and versatile enough to provide me with all the necessary tools I need to operate efficiently. The Family Access and Gradebook are my favorite modules-I no longer print report cards and progress reports as parents have direct, immediate access to that information and can contact teachers directly from those modules. Our teachers enjoy the simplicity of the Gradebook and the fact that it has made their jobs easier as well. Customer support both in sales and service is wonderful.

With the introduction of the web-based interface, [Skyward] has risen to a new dimension. At first I was very hesitant and I waited a long time to convert from PaC to web. Now that this conversion is completed I am amazed at the power and the functionality of the product. I have seen a faster and more accurate response to PEIMS and other state and federal requirements in the past two years.

I have worked with Skyward for about 19 years in two different schools and, currently, two different versions (DOS and PaC). The program is incredibly user-friendly, but, more importantly, the sales and support staff are fantastic. Questions are answered promptly and issues are resolved in a very timely manner. There is always a friendly voice on the other end of the line. The Web product was challenging, but, once again, the sales and support staff have been extremely helpful in providing the information we need to continue into the new year with the new version.

Pearland ISD has been a Skyward customer for the last two years. During this time, I have found the software to be very user friendly.
